Delhi and Ghaziabad traffic police issue extensive route advisories for Kanwar Yatra 2026

The Delhi and Ghaziabad traffic police have implemented mandatory route closures and vehicular diversions to facilitate the safe movement of thousands of Kanwariyas. Running from July 30 to August 11, 2026, the special traffic plan restricts or diverts heavy transport vehicles from key stretches like GT Road, Wazirabad Road, Vikas Marg, and Loni Road. Freight vehicles are being actively rerouted via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) and NH-9.
