Meta Delays New Business Terms After AI Scraping Concerns

Meta has delayed its new business terms until November 20 following concerns from news publishers that the rules would allow the company to scrape their websites for artificial intelligence training. The terms were originally scheduled to take effect on October 30.
Media groups, including the News/Media Alliance, warned the policy could cause severe harm to publishers. Meta stated the delay will give it time to explain how its web crawlers work and how publishers can block them.
