Palghar Court Sentences Man to 20 Years Imprisonment for Child Rape

A Palghar court has sentenced a 41-year-old labourer to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy, rejecting defence claims of improbability and stressing the importance of victim testimony over bystander apathy. The accused was also fined ₹30,000 for the victim's rehabilitation.
