The Indian government has rejected Elon Musk's claim that unnamed "oligarchs" are blocking Starlink's entry into the country, stating that all licensed operators are at the same stage of the regulatory approval process. India aims to ensure transparent licensing, real plurality, and oversight of satellite networks to balance connectivity and security, with the goal of connecting the 58 crore offline and controlling the switch, not private interests.

India's ITBP director general Shatrujeet Kapur confirmed face-offs with Chinese forces at multiple locations in Arunachal Pradesh, citing Chinese troops' divergence from established patrolling patterns as the main reason. India and China are using diplomatic and military mechanisms to resolve outstanding issues and improve border management. The two sides held talks in September, with both sides emphasizing the importance of peace and tranquillity along the border for bilateral relations.
