Actress Richa Chadha criticized the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation over worsening air and water quality in Mumbai as the city's air pollution levels recently surpassed Delhi's. Slower wind speeds from the Arabian Sea have failed to clear pollutants caused by vehicle exhaust, construction dust, open waste burning, and agricultural fires. Experts warned that weak atmospheric dispersal and upcoming festival firecrackers could further deteriorate Mumbai's air quality.
