A Jharkhand woman's divorce has been upheld by the High Court, citing her husband's abuse, assault, and dowry demands as reasons for the marriage's breakdown. The court ruled that the husband failed to respect his wife's emotions and aspirations, making it impossible for her to remain in the marriage with dignity. The decision was made on October 14.
