Centre Creates 11 Crore Unique Farmer IDs Ahead of Deadline

The Central government has created 11 crore unique digital farmer IDs under the AgriStack framework, reaching the target five months ahead of the March 2027 deadline. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said these IDs will act as a single document to access bank credit, crop insurance, disaster relief, and government crop sales. The initiative aims to reduce paperwork and eliminate repeated visits to government offices for farmers.
