India's first Bal Cabinet to be formed in Haryana's Kalwan village

India's first Bal Sarkar (Bal Cabinet) will be formed in Kalwan village in Haryana's Jind district. Announced by activist Sunil Jaglan on the International Day of the Girl Child, the initiative aims to involve children in local governance. The elected Bal Cabinet will work with the gram panchayat for three to four hours every week. They will focus on preventing child marriage, malnutrition, child labor, and abuse to make Kalwan a model child-safe village.
