The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a 20-hour introductory module on artificial intelligence and computational thinking for Classes 9 to 12. Developed with IIT Madras and IIT Jodhpur, the course aims to help students understand how AI works, protect personal data, and identify deepfakes and misinformation. The practical, activity-based curriculum can be taught with or without digital devices, encouraging responsible technology use and critical thinking.
