Medical testing giant Quest Diagnostics confirmed that a cyberattack breached its Quanum lab system, exposing sensitive patient records and personal information. The US-based company learned of the breach on Wednesday and notified law enforcement.

Quanum is used by nearly 500,000 clinicians across North America to handle lab tests, billing, and health records. Quest is still investigating the exact number of affected patients and what specific data was stolen.
