Delhi Police registered an FIR against Congress MPs Imran Masood and Imran Pratapgarhi for allegedly trespassing on the Jamia Millia Islamia campus. The university filed a complaint accusing the leaders of trespassing and inciting unrest during ongoing student protests.

Students have been demonstrating since October 12 to demand the restoration of the student union. Following the protests, the university shifted all classes online and heavy security was deployed around the campus.

Two convicts, Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, have appealed against their death sentence in the Saurabh Rajput murder case, claiming the trial court's verdict was illegal and arbitrary. They argue the prosecution failed to establish its case beyond reasonable doubt, citing circumstantial evidence and speculation. A division bench of the high court will hear their appeal next week.
